WILDWOOD OR BADER FIELD FALL 2017 EVENT?

Starting to plan the fall 3-4 day blokart sailing event that has been held in Wildwood and Bader Field in the past.
I have a request into Atlantic City to see what dates are open at Bader Field. I also have checked the tide table for Wildwood, it is attached. The last weekend the Adventurer Hotel is open is Oct. 15,16, the weekend of the 50's music event. The low tides are also not the best for weekend sailing. Take a look at the Oct, Nov tide charts.
The event could also be moved to early Nov., if interested and another hotel in Wildwood could be investigated for lodging if we wanted to go later than Oct 15.
Bader Field lodging? The motel across from the airport was not the best, but it was convenient, COMMENTS?
Pease send me your input to help make this a successful event.

Thanks for your input into making this a successful event.

I also am looking into weekday dates for summer sailing at Bader Field.

WILDWOOD BLOKART SAILING. OCT

We have had some awesome days sailing here on the east coast. North West fronts have started coming in producing strong off shore winds. Some of the winds have shown how valuable having a 2m sail is. A Nastier Than Snot Day is a good day for blokart  sailing.

NABSA EAST COAST FALL BLOKART SAIL
Bader Field, Atlantic City, N J, October 9, 10 &11
The Fall Wildwood blokart Sailing event is moving to Bader Field. After taking a poll of the Wildwood attendees who sail both sites it was unanimous that we have more sail time at Bader. No low tide time to work around and at Bader you can sail any wind direction with less wind. You can stay dry and no more sand to clean off your equipment. If someone still wants to sail the beach, low tide on Monday 10/13 is 1:30 PM, Brigantine is only 3 miles from Bader.
Bader has plenty of room for racing and practice dial up starts as well as plenty of room for individual sailing at the same time. There will be workshops on sailing  technique  and equipment. The runways and  tie down area are in excellent conditon. The only  problem you might have is wearing out tires if the wind is stong and you are pushing it.
I do pay a daily fee of $300.00 to rent the airport; attendees will be expected to chip in to cover the cost.
South West flies into Philadelphia (PHL), 64 miles from Bader Field. Atlantic City (ACY) airport is 10 miles away and has limited service.
Lodging:   There is a Knights Inn directly across from Bader Field. (It is within walking distance across the street) that is offering lodging for $59.00 a night + tax.
Knights Inn, 500 N. Albany Ave, (Black Horse Pike, Rt. 322) Atlantic City NJ 08401, call direct 609-348-1100. Mention North American Blokart Sailing.
A FEW MILES OUTSIDE Atlantic City on the same road with more amenities is the Comfort Inn, 7079 Black Horse Pike, West Atlantic City, NJ 08232-- 609-484-1900 www.comfortinnsuitesac.com  $68.00 to $85.00 per night.

Please let me know if you plan to attend by October 5. Registration form and Liability sign off will be available on site.  The Jersey Boys are planning a few cookouts.  Sailors from NV, WI, CA and Canada are already planning.  . . Any question email or call me.  .

NORTH AMERICAN BLOKART SAILING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 IVANPAH 2014 MARCH 27 -- APRIL 3 NOW IS THE TIME TO START MAKING PLANS TO ATTEND The 2014 event is planned to be 7 days of sailing a mix of 4 days of casual sailing that anyone sail the entire Ivanpah Dry Lake or sail the practice course that will be set up for those that have the need to pass other blokart sailors. The North American Blokart Sailing Championships will also be held during 3 days of racing using IBRA rules. All participants will be expected to volunteer and help with scoring marshaling and other duties needed to run the racing. The fleet will be divided into 2 groups racing at separate times. Those you are not racing will have the rest of the dry lake to sail on. Rumor is that we will have some International attendees this year; they can't stay away from possibly one of the best land sailing sites in the world. The location is 40 miles from Las Vegas off of Interstate 15 at the CA/NV border. A group rate for lodging will be arranged at the Primm Valley Casino which borders Ivanpah Dry Lake. The rate should be around $33.00 a week night and $65.00 Fri and Sat night. South West Airlines allows 2 free bags, start looking for good fares now. More information will be posted later.
